Psssst......

Writer: Cindy-Ann BoissonCindy-Ann Boisson

A year ago I performed my first ever One Woman Show. Aw-right! I've been the star of my one woman show for all of my life. I guess what I'm trying to say is that on March 23, 2024 I produced and performed my first scripted One Woman Show before a sold out audience at the Savor Cinema in Fort Lauderdale.

Even typing this feels strange. In my quiet moments, I reflect on the magnitude of that accomplishment: I did that. Well, not by myself of course, I had a great support system but I went after it and created the moment. Oh God I THANK YOU!

I always knew I wanted to produce my own show and had a general idea of what it should look like. The initial script was dark with very little to no humour. It was stories about my life and my journey to loving myself deeply. A toast to acceptance and trusting my gut. A celebration of recognizing where home is and what it means to me at the stage of my life.

The final show was a dramedy. A true reflection of me at my core. I'm (very, very, very) sensitive. Emotionally expressive. Short tempered and spoilt. I am ME and I LOVE that for me. Little fun fact, I love comedy and laughter but do will with drama. NOT de drama! Dramatic theater.

So much can happen in a year, I mean, it's 365 and a quarter days! A lot should happen!

Last year, after the show, a guest presented me with an orchid. If you know me, you KNOW I have the opposite of a green thumb. I took the orchid home and treated it pretty much the same as all the other plants.

On March 23, 2025 my orchid bloomed. I mean, it's the first time EVAH a plant not only survived with my for an entire year but blossomed so god damn beautifully! LOOK at it! That's me! That bloom is me. The variation of the leaves shape, size and texture. The refinement of the flowers. The buds. A year later, I am all of these things.

We're rolling out my Red Woman Tour this year and would love you to be a part of it (more details to follow).

For now, thank you for being a part of my refinement and growth.

Mwaaaaah
